Self-Evaluation

The most significant contribution i made to this assignment I personally believe involve the usage of myself as the model for the majority of the shoots as I was able to obey and correctly portray the emotional side of someone with mental health issues. I was also able to aid in terms of shoot by providing my own bathroom as a location for a shoot and one of the images ended up being used in the final exhibition.

The most important thing based on photography from this project involves making sure that the areas of interest for the project is accessible for not just myself but my potential partners as well otherwise it will just end up becoming a mix match of solo projects rather than one combined collab.

The most important thing I learned about collaboration from this project is on how collaboration projects require a heavy hand of scheduling and careful planning and that everyone needs to make their mark on the work be it through editing, shooting, providing ideas and locations.

The hardest part of this project for me is the scheduling of meetings with partners as not everyone will be available for specific dates and I will need to learn to adapt to working around these pop ups that happen throughput the project.

I would certainly make sure our group is finalised and that we expand our schedules to make the most possible time available for the project so that the maximum amount of photos and editing can be done for the project.

Overall this project was an interesting one as this was my first collaboration project in photography and I feel that I will need to learn what happened with this project in order to be ready for the next.

Final images

For our final images we decided to go with three images double printed into a selection of six to place throughout the campus for our exhibition. Here are the three final images.

Image 1 finishedImage 2 finishedImage 4 finished

Each of these images were edited with text and graphics by Amy and once that process was finished the images were finally complete. The images that have been selected to represent our collaborative project each do a great job portraying the effects of mental health issues and also provide the means of potential help from officials in the field. The way each of them have been taken and edited complete the theme we were going with.

We placed the images throughout the campus as established here.
